Full List of Vendors at the End of the Post
Our wedding planning journey officially began in February 2024, just a few weeks after Allen and I got engaged. Since we’ve been together for quite a while, we had casually talked about what our future wedding might look like even before the proposal. And I’ll be honest—like many brides-to-be, I had a Pinterest board full of inspiration long before Allen came into the picture. (What can I say? I’ve always loved dreaming about the details!)
Because of those conversations and saved ideas, once we officially started planning, a lot of the big decisions came together fairly quickly. We already had a sense of what we wanted the day to feel like, which made things so much easier.
Being a project manager by profession, I naturally slipped into planning mode. Budgeting, prioritizing, and creating timelines didn’t feel overwhelming—it was actually fun for me. I made lists, organized spreadsheets, and set milestones just like I would for any project at work. But this one, of course, was so much more personal and meaningful.
When it came time to plan our wedding, one of the first and biggest decisions was the venue. We knew we wanted something on the water, with incredible food, and still close enough to the city and my parents. Westchester checked all the boxes, and it felt like the perfect choice.
From the beginning, I envisioned a classic and elegant celebration. To bring that vision to life, my bridesmaids wore mismatched neutrals while our sponsors wore soft pink. Our color palette of white, gold, pink, and green tied everything together beautifully—timeless but fresh.
We also added personal touches to make the day truly ours. We designed a modern wedding monogram as well as a custom wedding crest that featured our flowers and even our dogs. It was the perfect blend of tradition, personality, and style.
