Growing up, my mom made everything feel special by personalizing my belongings. My ballet bag, for example, had my name embroidered in the most elegant script. That little touch made everything feel uniquely mine—and I want to give that same feeling to our baby.
That’s why I’ve been having so much fun curating personalized items from Pottery Barn Kids and Etsy.
Pottery Barn Kids Finds
The personalized shop at Pottery Barn Kids is absolutely adorable, and the best part? A lot of it was on sale. I couldn’t resist picking up a few pieces for our little one.
- Embroidered Baby Blanket: This is the perfect starting point. The blanket itself was only $19.99 on sale, though you do have to pay a little extra for the personalization. I love that it’s something cozy and meaningful—a blanket that’s just for him.

- Personalized Hooded Towel: I also snagged a hooded towel on clearance. I went with the tiger design (sadly, it’s now sold out). It’s cute, practical, and something he’ll use for years to come.

It’s so fun to imagine him wrapped up in these little personalized treasures, feeling just a bit of the same magic I felt as a child.
Etsy Finds
I also went a little overboard on personalized birth announcement items from Etsy—and I don’t regret it.
- Custom Baby Name Monogrammed Banner: Embroidered Stork Frame: This is one of my favorite purchases so far. I plan to use it at the hospital once he’s born, take some pictures with it, and then move it to his nursery as a keepsake. I love that it’s something we can cherish for years.

- Announcement Sign: Newborn Hospital Birth Statistics: This is perfect for birth announcement photos. I love the idea of capturing his very first moments with a sign that’s all about him—his birth stats, his name, and the day we met him for the first time.

I still have a few items on my wishlist, including baby name banners for the nursery and personalized burp cloths and bibs. I love that even the little, practical things can feel special and thoughtful when personalized.
For me, personalized items are more than just cute—they’re keepsakes. They remind me of my childhood, make everyday items feel extra special, and create memories we can hold onto long after our baby has grown. I can already imagine looking back at these treasures years from now and smiling, remembering the little details that made his early days feel so magical.
