When planning our wedding weekend, one of the things Allen and I were most excited about was welcoming our family and friends who were traveling near and far to celebrate with us. With 30 hotel rooms booked in our room block, we wanted to greet everyone with something special the moment they arrived — something that felt like us. And thus, our wedding welcome bags were born — perfectly aligned with our wedding theme: “Love is a Work of Art.”
We wanted our guests to feel the theme from the moment they saw the bag waiting in their hotel room. We chose metallic gift bags from Amazon and topped each with a custom wedding crest sticker. Each bag had a welcome tag from Zazzle featuring our wedding logo (because yes — I was very committed to keeping everything on brand).

Inside, guests found a custom welcome card that not only listed our weekend itinerary, but also included a special nod to our engagement photo session at The Met. We used a beautiful “Flowers of the Met” pictures I took from a daily desk calendar (found on Amazon), carefully selected specific floral paintings, and attached them to each welcome card. A personalized wax seal featuring our wedding logo added that final, romantic touch.

Allen and I are unapologetic snack lovers and kids at heart, so curating the snack section of our bags was probably the most fun part.
We mixed Salty Favorites:
-Mini Sun Chips
-Mini Pringles
With Sweet Treats:
-Little Bites funfetti cupcakes
-Rice Krispie Treats
We had to do His & Hers Candies:
-Allen’s Favorite: Reese’s
-Mine: Ferrero Rocher
-“Our” Favorite Candies were assorted fun-sized sweets from Costco, packaged into mini logo-stamped goodie bags filled with s’mores candies and thin mint bites — the perfect mix of nostalgic and indulgent.
To keep everyone refreshed (and recovered), we included:
-La Croix or San Pellegrino
-Branded water bottles with custom labels from Zazzle

And because what’s a celebration without a little too much fun? Each bag had a mini hangover kit including:
-Floss
-Liquid IV
-Alka Seltzer tablets
-Band-aids
We even had custom “Do Not Disturb” door hangers for those who needed a few extra hours of sleep the morning after!

Because I’m all about skincare, we couldn’t resist adding a little wellness moment for our guests. Each bag included:
-Face sheet masks
-Under-eye masks
Perfect for unwinding after a day of travel or prepping for the big celebration.
We poured so much love and thought into these welcome bags, and it meant the world to us that our guests noticed and appreciated every detail. From the artistic theme to the sweet & salty treats, we wanted every part of our wedding weekend — even the smallest elements — to reflect our story.
And from the feedback we got? We think we nailed it.
