When it came to planning our wedding, I wanted every detail—big or small—to reflect us. I believe the little things matter, and one of my favorite personal touches from the day? Our custom cocktail napkins.

We had three different designs in rotation during cocktail hour, and each one carried its own little story—sentimental, fun, and uniquely ours.

Our Custom Wedding Crest

The first napkin featured our personalized wedding crest, a design that included our beloved dogs and the flowers used throughout our wedding. It was elegant, playful, and perfectly us—kind of like a little family portrait in crest form. Seeing our guests holding that design in their hands while sipping drinks just made everything feel real. It was the perfect introduction to the heart of our wedding. We also used our wedding crest for our matches that were also placed on the bars.

Snippets from Love Notes

The other two napkin designs were especially meaningful. I wanted to include something more intimate—something only we would recognize right away. So, I dug through old love notes and birthday cards and chose two lines that had stuck with me over the years.

To turn them into napkins, I got creative. I took a photo of the handwritten card using my phone, then edited it in Canva, converting it to black and white and playing with the contrast to make the handwriting pop. After a few tweaks, I uploaded the images to VistaPrint as custom graphics, added our wedding logo for a personal touch, and printed them on classic white cocktail napkins.

The result? A sweet surprise for guests, and an emotional one for us. Seeing those words—originally scribbled on paper and now part of our wedding day—was like a quiet little moment between the two of us, scattered throughout the crowd.
