Sunsets, Sequins & Sandbars: A Glam Bachelorette Weekend in West Palm Beach

Last March, 10 of my best girlfriends from New York, Connecticut, and Florida came together in sunny West Palm Beach to celebrate my unforgettable bachelorette weekend. Spanning Thursday to Sunday, the itinerary was the perfect mix of poolside relaxation, waterfront adventures, glam meals, and just the right amount of sparkle.

We kept joking and calling my bach, “Karen’s brand trip”. Working in media, I had to make sure it was a vibe and very on brand for me. So I settled for the theme “Karen’s Last Rendez Veuve”. A pun on Veuve Clicquot, one of my fave champagne brands.

As for merch, I had to go all out. (And my cricut worked overtime for sure). I wanted to gift items that my friends would use post bach. I opted out of matching shirts (I personally never liked wearing them, no shade to past bach I went on). Instead, I gifted pink Lacoste hats, which fit the theme/colors of my bach. Instead of personalized totes, I did bag charms, with initials and charms that fit each girl’s personality. (To be honest, my cricut iron ons weren’t cooperating with me, hence why I went with charms). Each tote included:

  • Laneige Lip gloss
  • Travel sized body lotion from Coco & Eve (bought from Anthropologie)
  • Eye Masks
  • Ice roller for your face (with their initial, so they wouldn’t get confused which roller was theirs in the freezer)
  • Mini travel hairbrush (again with their initials)
  • Hair clip
  • Small hot/cold thermos with their initials
  • Small pocket mirror with their initials
  • Fun earrings from Nordstrom (Pink and gold like the theme)
  • Bows for their hair from Anthropologie
  • Trio lip balm set from Anthropologie
  • Face sheet mask
  • Sunnies from Nordstrom (for them to use for boat day so the salt water wouldn’t ruin their designer sunnies)
  • Hangover kit (including: Advil, Moon juice tubes if they needed to mellow out/help sleep, liquid IV, Gum, Tide wipes, floss, Alka Seltzer tablets)
  • Custom itinerary that I created so everyone knew what was scheduled
  • Hand written note

Day One: Arrival & “Tequila Sunset” Vibes
The moment we touched down in Palm Beach, we knew we were in for a good time. Our Airbnb was everything we hoped for—spacious, chic, and best of all, it had a private pool. Having our own pool was non-negotiable; we wanted that laid-back West Palm Beach energy all weekend long.

For our first night, we got dressed in our theme for the evening—“Tequila Sunset”—with everyone glowing in shades of pinks and oranges, capturing the warm, dreamy hues of my favorite drink. We dined at Restoration Hardware Rooftop Restaurant, where the elegant ambiance and views matched our mood: relaxed but ready to celebrate. (Also because I can never get a reservation in NYC).

Day Two: Pontoon Party & Backyard Hibachi
Friday was boat day—and easily a highlight of the trip. We rented a pontoon boat and spent hours cruising along the intercoastal waterways, anchoring near sandbars to swim, float, and soak up the sunshine with music and drinks in hand. The saltwater, the laughter, and the perfect weather made it the ultimate bachelorette moment.

Back at the Airbnb, we dialed up the glam for our theme of the night: “Dancing Queen”. Think bling, sequins, and disco-inspired sparkle—the entire backyard shimmered almost as much as our outfits. Instead of going out, we brought the restaurant to us by hiring hibachi chefs who put on an amazing show and cooked dinner poolside. It was interactive, fun, and delicious—a perfect way to wind down without missing out on any fun.

Day Three: Palm Beach, Brunch & Glamorous Sightseeing
Saturday called for something a bit more polished. We headed to Palm Beach and kicked off the day with a delicious brunch at the iconic Colony Hotel. With its pastel pink façade and Palm Beach flair, it was the perfect photo-op and foodie moment.

After brunch, we shopped along Worth Avenue, admired the historic Mediterranean architecture, and wandered through the palm-lined streets. One of our favorite stops was the Flagler Museum, a must-see for anyone visiting Palm Beach.

A Little History about The Flagler Museum: Originally known as Whitehall, the Flagler Museum was the Gilded Age mansion of Henry Flagler, a founding partner of Standard Oil and a pivotal figure in developing Florida’s east coast. Built in 1902 as a wedding gift for his wife Mary, Whitehall was one of the most extravagant private homes of its time. Today, it stands as a testament to Flagler’s vision and influence, preserving the opulence and innovation of the era.

After soaking up some culture, we wrapped up the afternoon with a quick stop at The Breakers, where we sipped drinks in one of the most luxurious resorts in Florida. It was the kind of spot that made us feel like socialites—even if just for a cocktail.

We enjoyed one final dinner together, my fave, Mexican food! Then we headed back to the airbnb, with the final theme being PJs and prosecco. We played some fun bachelorette party games in our bougie PJs and while sipping on champs, and reflected on the unforgettable weekend before saying our goodbyes the next day.

I am so grateful for my friends for making this trip everything I could have ever wished for. I love them all so dearly. And it’s great to have a girls trip in our 30s since everyone is so busy with their lives and kids.
